Prefer Your Terrain Ready for Battle?

Not everyone wants to spend hours painting terrain before getting it onto the table. That is why many Build Your Battlefield sets are also available with a painted, battle-ready finish.

Our painted terrain is finished in-house with the tabletop in mind. The aim is not to turn every wall into an individual display piece, but to give you a complete, cohesive battlefield that looks great as soon as you unpack it.

We use a combination of airbrushing, shading, drybrushing and picked-out details to bring out the textures and character of each theme. Concrete, metal, pipes, rubble and other elements receive different treatments so the finished terrain has depth and remains easy to read across the gaming table.

Because the pieces are painted by hand, there will naturally be small variations between sets. We see that as part of the appeal: your battlefield will not look like something that simply rolled off an automated production line.

The painting style is deliberately practical as well. Build Your Battlefield terrain is designed to be handled, rebuilt and used during games, so we focus on a durable battle-ready finish rather than extremely delicate display techniques.

If you enjoy painting terrain yourself, the unpainted option gives you a blank canvas to create exactly the look you want. If you would rather skip that stage entirely, choose the painted option and your terrain arrives ready to build, arrange and play on.
